ChatGPT and Gemini are gaining ground on Google in Switzerland

The Swiss are changing the way they browse the web. According to a study published by Comparis53% of internet userstoday they use tools for’artificial intelligence as ChatGPTGemini or their equivalents — twice as much as in 2024.

This rapid adoption is taking place to the detriment of traditional practices :

  • THE search engines retain first place, but their use has changed from 87.1% in 2020 to 83.2% in 2025.

  • THE news sites lose ground, falling from 66.7% to 54.7%.

  • against 54% in German-speaking Switzerland,
