Switzerland experienced a polar night, with a low of -26.3°C recorded at La Brévine, the «Swiss Siberia». Several regions also experienced intense cold, right down to the plains. However, MeteoSwiss is forecasting a slight easing on Sunday, with temperatures approaching zero.
