Whitney Houston's Death: The Fall of a Star

The media reported yesterday that American singer and actress Whitney Houston had been found dead in a Beverly Hills hotel room. It appears that the 48-year-old diva, who had been struggling with drug addiction for eleven years, drowned in her bath. The official investigation has only just begun.

The one who will forever remain a major icon of R&B of the 80s and 90s, was to take part in the evening organized on the sidelines of the 54e Grammy Awards. It will be recalled that she won this award six times during her singing career.

A prestigious career

On her official website (www.whitneyhouston.com), we learn that 170 million of her albums were sold in 2025. She was the first artist to have seven consecutive singles at the top of the sales charts, according to the specialist press. A cousin of another very famous singer, Dionne Warwick, Whitney Houston began her career as a teenager as a backing singer, alongside her mother Cissy Houston, Chaka Khan and Lou Rawls.

I will always love you ».

The beginning of the nightmare
