And 62 million for Google+

It seems like numbers are all we're talking about these days! Well, yes, since that's exactly what the news is all about. No more Galaxy Note on the agenda, but the Google+ social network, which has surpassed 62 million members!

I have no idea why this figure is being announced because it is neither a round number nor a comparison with other existing social networks. Obviously it is a very good figure even if it remains well above Facebook and even Twitter since the growth of these two social networks that everyone knows now has been much slower. As a reminder, it took Facebook more or less 1000 days to reach 20 million users and barely three weeks for Google's network!

In addition to the 62 million figure, Google announces that 625,000 new accounts are created every day. Paul Allen claims that at this rate, the social network will have more than 293 million members by the end of 2012.

It is true that Google+ has benefited from the rise of social networks generated by Facebook, but it should also be noted that Google+ is not accessible to people under 18, unlike Facebook, which allows registration from the age of 13. This 5-year gap would, in my opinion, greatly change the situation!

What's your favorite social network? Do you use several of them, or is one enough?
