The Julius Baer Group is the largest Swiss bank dedicated exclusively to wealth management.

The Group, whose origins date back to the 19th century, focuses on wealth management for discerning private and institutional clients, as well as the management and sale of investment funds. The Private Banking business and the corresponding Investment Products Competence Center are combined within Bank Julius Baer, while GAM, a leading global asset manager, and the specialized investment fund company Artio Global Investors Inc. (USA), form the Asset Management division.

Julius Baer Holding Ltd., whose shares are listed on the SWX Swiss Exchange, is the parent company of the Julius Baer Group and operates as a financial holding company. The Group's principal companies are Bank Julius Baer & Co. Ltd., rated Aa3 by Moody's, and GAM Holding Ltd., a global asset manager specializing in alternative and active investment management. The Julius Baer Group's international presence encompasses more than 30 locations in Europe, North America, Latin America, and Asia, including Zurich (headquarters), Buenos Aires, Dubai, Frankfurt, Geneva, Hong Kong, London, Lugano, Moscow, New York, Singapore, and Tokyo. With more than 4,200 employees worldwide, the Group managed assets in excess of CHF 360 billion at the end of June 2008.
