Federer has 16 Grand Slam wins, with a win against Djokovic anything would be possible in the final.

The 23rd encounter between the two players seems very open. "Djoko" has been playing on a high since the beginning of the year with a perfect record and a whopping 41 consecutive victories (+ 1 by walkover) (McEnroe's record of 42).

Federer still has a positive record against the Serb with 13 wins out of 23 matches, but the Swiss player has lost the last three head-to-heads.

Roger's statement:
"I feel perfectly well physically and am looking forward to playing in this semi-final."

Federer's advantage is that Djokovic might not be in top form anymore, because with F. Fognini's withdrawal in the quarterfinals, it could be more difficult for him to get back into the swing of things. Unlike in football, where players are sometimes rested before big matches, tennis players need match practice to stay competitive. This is an advantage for Roger.
