How can we concretely help Japan?
A large network bringing together the main humanitarian and charitable organizations is mobilizing to collect funds, donations, and aid for Japan. On its website, the Red Cross (www.croixrouge.orgA fundraising campaign has been launched, but it is also possible to participate by text message (REDCROSS to 90999). Secours populaire and Fondation de France are also using the web to support Japanese disaster relief organizations. Payment can be made via PayPal, credit card, or check.
Solidarity-Japan
A relief effort quickly sprang up via the internet, which became the main channel in such cases. The Game Specialists
The social games expert, Zynga launched a program that collects donations through the purchase of virtual games like Cityville and Farmville. Donations are forwarded to the organization Save the Children. The popular site Groupon Meanwhile, it's offering a "deal of the day." Two euros will be donated to the Red Cross for every purchase made. As for Capcom, the Japanese developer is committed to donating all profits to a charity active in Japan.
These are just a few examples of ways people are using the internet to help Japan. Be careful! The context can also inspire unscrupulous people to take advantage of the public's generosity. Donate only to reputable organizations.
