RANGO, a funny and unusual animated film
The latest film from Gore Verbinski, who directed the Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy and The Ring, stars a chameleon in the throes of an identity crisis. The cast includes Johnny Depp, who voices the title character, as well as Timothy Olyphant, Isla Fisher, Abigail Breslin, and Bill Nighy.
In this unusual animated film, RANGO is no ordinary hero. A nasty face, armed with a tail gun and a Gatling gun, he can kill anyone he wants whenever he wants. To make matters worse, he's hired by a crooked and corrupt sheriff. Surrounded by strange and devious creatures from the desert who are wreaking havoc on the small town of Dust, Rango will have to take on entirely new duties and find himself losing his identity. He'll face characters, each more outlandish than the last.
In short, imagine a film inspired by The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, with a population of lizards, snakes, turtles and other desert animals. For some downright fun and to enjoy what high technology applied to cartoons now offers us, Rango is a great entertainment.
