Party in Neuchâtel for Portugal

The city of Neuchâtel will celebrate its Portuguese community: a multicultural association created for the occasion has organized a program of events to coincide with the Portuguese footballers' stay at the Beau-Rivage Hotel. Eleven thousand people of Portuguese origin live in the canton of Neuchâtel. On Friday, June 6, Portuguese music star Tony Carreira will give a free concert, while former Portuguese football star Luís Figo will perform an exhibition match on the esplanade in front of the city's stadium. A public training session for the Portuguese national team is also scheduled for Sunday, June 8, Portugal's national day.
