An unusual New Year at Elvis et Moi in Fribourg

Want to celebrate the New Year... differently? There's nothing better than heading out with friends to the Elvis et Moi bistro-bar on Rue de Morat in Fribourg, owned by Valentine Jaquier.

A rockabilly temple with a romantic-baroquo-kitsch decor, the Elvis et moi bar-café is renowned as one of Fribourg's nightlife hotspots, where music and party go hand in hand. This café-concert reinterprets the King's golden age in a quirky version. It's a magical place to be during the festive season and all year round, and last September it celebrated five years of wild music!

If the fringe side appeals to you, you will appreciate the giant zebra enthroned on the piano or the legendary American-style jukebox and the unusual chandeliers, without forgetting the numerous decorative elements straight out of the 1950s (posters of the King, Marilyn Monroe, pin-up cartoons, plaster statues, etc.).

A Baroque-Rock New Year's Eve

For the last night of 2010, join the ranks of baroque and rock lovers. Wear a wig à la Marie-Antoinette or her King, adorn your clothes with sequins and hide your eyes under an evening wolf and you'll be perfectly in tune.
