Health insurance: premiums continue to rise

Health insurance

Suisse-blog is a social site (trainer, reintegration, follow our newsletter) and as you may have noticed, it tends more towards left-wing politics, all while being close to the Swiss financial center.

We had campaigned for a single fund which would certainly have deprived large insurers of lucrative profits but which would have protected policyholders from the fanciful premiums that some companies allow themselves to charge their customers.

Without a single fund, millions of francs in administrative costs are wasted solely on managing insurance changes, and similar amounts are spent by insurers trying to increase their market share. The single fund would only cover basic insurance, and competition would continue between different insurance companies for supplementary benefits.
