Nike launches unusual ad featuring Tiger Woods

NikeTiger Woods who recently returned to the golf course stars in the "Earl and Tiger" advert launched last Wednesday. In this black and white spot for Nike, We see the golf champion, recently dragged through the mud after the scandal of his extramarital affairs, motionless, looking guilty… In voice-over a recording of his father, Earl, died in 2006. “I want to find out what your thoughts were. I want to find out how you feel. Did you learn anything?” That's what his father told him, obviously these are words taken from a completely different initial context.

This unusual and daring advertisement has a biblical feel. «"What Nike is telling us is: 'Let he who is without sin cast the first stone.'"« Very few ads manage to evoke so much emotion. It's brilliant!» exclaims Luc Dupont, sociologist and professor in the Department of Communication at the University of Ottawa. Another opinion comes from André Richelieu, a sports marketing specialist in the Faculty of Business Administration at Laval University, who said: «"This is an advertisement that shows the dark side of a man who has gone astray."». And what do you think?
