French Derby

The match between Olympique Lyonnais and Girondins de Bordeaux is historic for French football; for the first time in Champions League history, two French clubs are facing each other in the quarter-finals. The advantage for French fans is that there will almost certainly be a Ligue 1 representative in the semi-finals. Predictions are somewhat divided, but most are betting on a Lyon victory at home; for example, the website football-paris.com predicts a score of 2-1 for this match (bet on Lyon-Bordeaux).

German-British Derby

The match that will oppose tonight the Bayern Munich to Manchester United (Broadcast live on TSR2 and on the website tsrsport.ch) is also highly anticipated; everyone is expecting a fireworks display from Rooney, who is currently scoring more than a goal per game. Manchester United are the favorites; the wealthy English club has been riding a wave of success for the past few weeks.
