Beyoncé breaks record at Grammy Awards

The 52nd Grammy Awards ceremony took place yesterday, Sunday, January 31, at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. This ceremony is considered the Oscars of music.

After receiving five awards in 2004 for his first solo album "Dangerously in Love" Beyoncé reaches her record this year with a total of 6 trophies. Elle s’est imposé dans les catégories interprétation vocale féminine pop avec « Halo », interprétation vocale féminine R&B avec le titre « At Last », chanson de l’année et chanson R&B tout deux pour « Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It) », et enfin album R&B contemporain avec « I am…Sasha Fierce ».

La récompense de l’album de l’année est quant à elle revenue à Taylor Swift for "Fearless." Nominated eight times, this very young 20-year-old artist will have won 4 Grammies (notamment dans les catégories album country, chanson country et interprétation vocale féminine country). On pourra dire que le R&B et la country étaient à l’honneur ce soir là!
