Wyclef Jean continues his aid to Haitians by releasing a film
Despite the fact that he has been accused of embezzling funds from his Yele Haiti foundation, Wyclef Jean, former lead singer of the Fugees, is not giving up and is continuing to do all he can to help the people of Haiti.
So after the song he produced to encourage donations, he now wants to show the public images of his native country just after the 12 January earthquake, which he shot himself, and share these images of desolation and emotion with viewers so that they continue to lend a helping hand to the Haitians.
«I went there with a camera, and what I want to do in the next two or three weeks is release a film about what happened through the eyes of Wyclef Jean (...) I think Americans should understand the urgency of giving...There are things you can't show on the news, and I strongly urge people to go and see my film...and see how they want to engage. I don't want people to think, Oh everything's better now... I want all of you to be able to witness and see the desolation.»he says.
Wyclef Jean's own experience has brought him some painful and tragic moments, including the death of one of the members of his association, a volunteer who was killed while at the wheel of his car. Wyclef Jean told The Sun: «The thief didn't even want the car, he just wanted the petrol».
