The Loterie romande Tactilo will continue to be operated

The Tactilos may continue to be operated by the Loterie romande outside of casinos. The Federal Administrative Court (FAC) ruled in favor of the Loterie romande against the Swiss Casino Federation. This federation claimed that these devices were to be assimilated to slot machines, and therefore their operation reserved for gaming houses. The TAF decided that These are indeed lottery games because the winnings are distributed and decided in advance.

Tactilo has been offered by the Loterie romande since 1999 and has been contested since 2004. It provides nearly a third of the Loterie romande's revenue. These are in fact touchscreens that display electronic versions of scratch cards, and which allow you to win up to 10,000 francs. The Tactilos are used in 310 cafes, restaurants and kiosks.
