Amy Winehouse gets off lightly in court
Amy Winehouse pleaded guilty, this Wednesday, for a assault and public disorder, at the Milton Keynes court in England.
She assaulted a theater manager on December 19th during a performance of "Cinderella," which she had also disrupted. She was angered when, instead of offering her a double vodka, the manager offered her a glass of water. The performer, in a fit of rage, then attacked the victim by pulling her hair. She admitted to having consumed five vodkas and cocaine before arriving at the theater.
The judge took into account Amy's efforts to overcome her "alcohol problems," and... sentenced to pay a fine of 85 pounds, and 100 pounds in damages to the victim. The singer is also and above all put to the test for the next two years. She will have to stay on the straight and narrow. Otherwise, she will face a much harsher sentence.
