Hugh Grant in a new romantic comedy
Romantic comedies seem to suit Hugh Grant well. Indeed, films in which he plays a man in love include "Notting Hill," "Bridget Jones's Diary," "Love Actually," "Two Weeks Notice," and also "Music and Lyrics," the latter two being directed by Marc Lawrence.
This American director has once again cast Hugh Grant in his latest romantic comedy: "Did You Hear About the Morgans?", which is released in theaters today.
«"Did You Hear About the Morgans?" marks the reunion of Hugh Grant and Sarah Jessica Parker, ten years after the thriller "Extreme Measures." The "Sex and the City" star was delighted by this reunion. «I’d always wanted to act in a romantic comedy with him. It was a real pleasure to work with him again, especially since we play such a dynamic couple. Hugh is an excellent actor, and it’s fantastic to work with him. We laughed throughout the entire shoot. He’s so funny, intelligent, very quick-witted; he’s simply a hard worker and a true professional.»
Summary: Meryl and Paul Morgan seem to be the perfect couple, enjoying a successful life in beautiful Manhattan. The only cloud on the horizon is their marriage, which is irrevocably falling apart. However, the hustle and bustle of their New York life pales in comparison to what is about to happen to them. One evening, they witness a murder and, as a result, become the target of a hitman. Quickly placed under FBI protection, the Morgans are forced to leave New York and go into exile in a secure facility in the heart of Wyoming. To ensure their safety, they are under 24-hour surveillance… yet this might just be their chance to rekindle the passion.
