Michelle Gisin: operations went well

In the wake of Michelle Gisin's fall, Her coach Beat Tschuor has given reassuring news about the Obwaldian skier. She suffered serious injuries and underwent an operation on her neck and one of her arms.

The injury to his left knee still requires further examination, Tschuor told SRF on the sidelines of the World Cup downhill race in Saint-Moritz. The operations carried out so far have gone well. The coach also said that he had received a voice message from his protégée, who had tested positive. However, further medical tests are still necessary.

Michelle Gisin fell heavily on Thursday during downhill training. She was initially evacuated by helicopter to a local hospital before being transferred to a specialist clinic in Zurich. Despite the violence of the fall, the two-time champion Olympic is doing relatively well and is able to move his arms and legs normally.
