Tour de France 2009

The 2009 Tour will stop in Switzerland (Verbier on July 19)
Stage of the Tour de France in Switzerland
Comments
July 19: (Swiss Stage) This stage has been the best of the Tour so far and the one that has had the most impact on the standings. Contador takes the yellow jersey and is likely to hold it until Paris.
July 16: It's the transition period before the finish in the Alps but the 12th stage revealed a strong Danish rider in the person of Sorensen who made a solo rush after trying to escape from his 6 breakaway companions with 23 km to go.
July 10: The first mountain stage was, as expected, fatal for Cancellara's yellow jersey... the AG2R – La Mondiale team did very well by winning the stage with the young Brice Feillu (first participation in the Tour) and the Italian Nocentini who took the yellow jersey of leader in the general classification.
July 9: Cancellara celebrated his sixth day in YELLOW, The serious stuff will start tomorrow with the first mountain stage.
July 7: The "Grande Boucle" got off to a flying start, with Swiss Olympic Time Trial champion Fabian Cancellara pulling off a masterclass in the prologue and holding onto the yellow jersey for the first four stages.
