Donald Trump Shocks Again: AI-Generated “King Trump” Video Outrages America
When "King Trump" bombards his opponents with questionable taste
US President Donald Trump has once again sparked controversy after posting an artificial intelligence-generated video on his Truth Social platform. It shows the president wearing a crown, piloting a fighter jet named King Trump, dropping what appears to be feces on anti-Trump protesters.
This dubiously humorous scene comes as millions of Americans took to the streets on Saturday to denounce the president's policies.
Donald Trump's scandalous video
Massive mobilization against Trump
According to organizers, about 7 million people participated in more than 2,700 rallies across the United States, from New York to Los Angeles, during the day of action dubbed "No Kings."
This coalition of associations, already at the origin of a record mobilization in June, thus claims one of the largest protest movements since the return to power of the Republican.
Although the figures are unverifiable, images of dense crowds in several major cities illustrate growing popular discontent with what many perceive as an authoritarian drift.
A provocative video published on Truth Social
In response, Donald Trump chose to ridicule his critics through several videos created by artificial intelligence.
In one of them, described by AFP, he portrays himself as a triumphant king piloting a fighter jet to the sound of "Danger Zone," the soundtrack to the film Top Gun.
TF1 spoke of "a scabrous image worth more than a thousand words," while RTL described a "scatological caricature" depicting the dropping of brown liquid on protesters.
Reactions even within the Republican camp
The video immediately sparked outrage on social media, including within the Republican Party.
Many conservative elected officials see this as a further affront to presidential dignity and are concerned about the use of artificial intelligence for political and mocking purposes.
For other observers, this sequence is part of a well-honed Trump strategy: to provoke in order to gain media traction, to divert attention and to mobilize his base by shocking his opponents.
An America more divided than ever
As the next elections approach, the King Trump affair underscores how deeply polarized the country remains.
The gap between the billionaire's loyal supporters and an increasingly active opposition seems to be widening a little more each week.
