Lausanne humiliates Geneva-Servette 11-0 in the first Lake Geneva derby
Ice Hockey – National League – The first Lake Geneva derby of the season turned into a rout. In front of their home crowd, Lausanne literally crushed Genève-Servette with a resounding 11-0 victory. A complete disaster for the Eagles, particularly in the second period, where the Lions scored six goals in just twenty minutes.

Just like against Fribourg a few days earlier, Lausanne attacked the match with a vengeance. By pouring in shots and harassing Stéphane Charlin's goal, the Vaudois quickly found the opening. After an initial alert from Damien Riat (5th), it was Théo Rochette who broke the deadlock in the 8th minute with a precise mid-height shot. Then, with a double power play, Erik Brännström sent a missile under the bar in the 18th minute.
The second period turned into a demonstration. Austin Czarnik made it 5-0 in the 24th minute, forcing Charlin to give way to Robert Mayer. But the Geneva goalkeeper was no luckier: Lausanne continued their offensive festivities. Rochette scored a hat trick, while Czarnik tallied five points (1 goal and 4 assists).
A historic score for the LHC
This victory marks Lausanne HC's biggest win in its modern history. Previous records stood at 8-1 against Davos (October 15, 2016) and 8-1 against Langnau in the playoffs (March 23, 2019). The last time a defeat of this caliber was recorded in the National League was on January 28, 2022, when Zug inflicted the same 11-0 defeat on Ajoie.
