Finn Treudler takes charge of the U23s

In the Under-23 category, Finn Treudler delivered a remarkable performance. The 22-year-old from Zurich took the lead in the first round, accompanied by Frenchman Adrien Boichis. The duo was quickly joined by Canadian Cole Punchard and Danish Gustav Pedersen. But the quartet quickly fell apart: under the Swiss's acceleration, his rivals gave way one after the other.

Alone in the lead from the halfway point, Treudler opened up an impressive gap, reaching almost a minute's advantage. With perfect control, he then controlled his effort to race towards his first ever world championship title.
