2025 Mountain Bike World Championships: Alessandra Keller wins bronze in cross-country in Crans-Montana 🥉
After his gold medal In short track on Tuesday in Zermatt, Alessandra Keller confirmed her great form at the 2025 Mountain Bike World Championships. The 29-year-old from Nidwalden won a second medal, this time in cross-country in Crans-Montana, taking 3rd place.
The title went to the favorite, Sweden's Jenny Rissveds, who dominated the race with skill. New Zealand's Samara Maxwell took silver, 18 seconds behind, while Keller crossed the line 56 seconds behind the new world champion.

Jenny Rissveds crowned for the first time in the elite category
At 31, Jenny Rissveds won her first-ever elite world title after seven laps of 4.3 km. She was able to savor her victory in front of her fans, maintaining a 12-second lead over Great Britain's Evie Richards (4th). Already beaten in the sprint by Keller in the short track, the Swede set the pace this time, confirming her status as the favorite. Her track record is already impressive, including an Olympic title in Rio in 2016 and a bronze medal at the Paris 2024 Games.
Three Swiss women in the top 10
The Swiss performance didn't stop with Alessandra Keller's podium finish. Ramona Forchini finished 8th (+2'33) and Nicole Koller 10th (+2'58). However, the other major Swiss figures had more difficulties: Jolanda Neff, 2021 Olympic champion, finished only 15th, and Sina Frei, runner-up at the Tokyo Games, took 13th place.
