The draw for the 2025-2026 Conference League group stage has presented Lausanne-Sport with a formidable challenge. Peter Zeidler's men will host Fiorentina, one of the historic clubs in Italian football. The match promises to be an exceptional atmosphere at La Tuilière.

Accessible opponents for the Vaudois

In addition to the Italians, LS will also host Omonia Nicosia (Cyprus) and Breidablik Kopavogur (Iceland). Away from home, Lausanne will travel to Poland to face Lech Poznan, to Finland against KuPS Kuopio, and to Malta to face Hamrun Spartans.

A favorable draw after the exploit against Besiktas

After eliminating Besiktas Istanbul in the play-offs, Lausanne has established itself as a true European outsider. The draw is considered fairly manageable: it avoids formidable opponents like Crystal Palace, Mainz, and Strasbourg, who would have made the task much more difficult.

Objective: reach the knockout stage

The competition format stipulates that the top 24 out of 36 teams advance to the next stage of the tournament. Lausanne-Sport can therefore legitimately hope to reach this stage and continue its European adventure in spring 2026.
