Which professions are most threatened by the arrival of artificial intelligence?
Artificial intelligence (AI) is profoundly transforming the world of work. Tools like ChatGPT, image generators, and automated data processing software are already disrupting many sectors. But this technological revolution isn't affecting all professions equally. So, which jobs are most threatened by AI?
1. Administrative and data entry professions
Repetitive and standardized tasks are the first to be replaced.
Data entry Administrative secretarial work Form management and archiving
AI can automate these processes with speed and accuracy far beyond that of humans.
2. Customer support and basic user relationship
Intelligent chatbots are already replacing some customer advisors to answer simple questions.
Call centers Online support (automated FAQs) Canned email responses
However, complex cases will continue to require human interaction.

3. Jobs related to translation and basic writing
Generative AI tools now produce texts in multiple languages with impressive fluidity.
Simple translation Writing of standard content (product sheets, descriptions) Grammar and spelling correction
This doesn't mean that translators and editors will disappear, but their roles will focus more on creativity, cultural nuance, and editorial strategy.
4. Accounting and certain financial tasks
Automated accounting is developing rapidly: AI software capable of detecting errors, generating balance sheets or preparing tax returns.
Simple bookkeeping Invoice management Cash flow monitoring
Accountants will retain a role, but more as strategic advisors than simple technicians.
5. Factual journalism and mass content production
Short, purely informative articles (weather, sports results, stock prices) can already be automatically generated by AI.
Writing briefs Synthesis of numerical data Automated reports
The added human value will lie in analysis, investigation and critical perspective.
6. Transport and logistics professions
With the emergence of autonomous vehicles and the robotization of warehouses, several professions are under pressure:
Taxi or truck drivers Delivery drivers Order pickers
Although the transition will take time for legal and technical reasons, the trend is inevitable.
A threatened or transformed future?
Rather than massively destroying jobs, artificial intelligence is redefining expected skills. The most vulnerable professions are those where tasks are repetitive, predictable, and standardized.
On the other hand, professions that require creativity, empathy, critical thinking and social skills will remain essential.
