Motorola preparing a bezel-less smartphone?

That's right, this article isn't about a rumour concerning the iPhone 5 or any other Apple product.

Today, a rumour from Bloomberg tells us that Motorola (now owned by Google) is set to unveil a smartphone in a week or so, with a screen that covers the entire surface of the device (or almost - there needs to be room for the speaker and camera).

Remember, when the first smartphones and even tablets were released, many people wondered why these devices had so many edges? The answer must surely lie in the lack of space for all the components.

But now, if this rumour proves true, things could well change and revolutionise smartphones. In fact, no manufacturer has ever put forward the idea, or even filed a patent.

The big advantage of this type of smarthpone, as you'll have realised, is that you can enjoy bigger screens without affecting the size of the smartphone.

One thing's for sure, Apple won't be able to go to court over this type of smartphone, and Motorola should be quick to file a patent before another company does!

As always, this is just a rumour that could turn out to be true, or so we hope.
